So a friend totally shared an idea with us that we loved. It works like the 12 days of Christmas only with a twist. Basically every day that Deb has chemo she receives some type of gift or treat from someone who cares about her. So instead of having a terrible day dreading a chemo treatment she has a little surprise to look forward to. Last week we stared, Deb got her first Chemo day gift from one of her good friends and it she told me that she was just leaving for her chemo treatment and found this gift and card on her porch. The entire gesture made her cry !! ( The good kind of cry)
We started a list of friends and family we thought would like to participate and we will call them and ask them if they want to and what day works for them. We love that there is something that we can do to make this experience even a little more bearable for Mom and thank you so much for the friend who suggested it and the wonderful friend who couldn’t wait to give our first surprise “ days of chemo gift “
