How You Can Help

People ask me all the time, “What can I do to help?”  The hard part about watching someone you love so much go through such a hard thing is that you feel so helpless.  We would do anything we could to lighten the burden cancer has placed on our Mom, but unfortunately there isn’t much we can do.  If we could take some of the worries, some of the mental stress or some of the physical pain we would.  If we could endure a chemo treatment for her, we would.  If shaving my head meant that she didn’t have to loose her hair I would do it in a second, but we can’t do any of these things for her.  She would kill us if she knew we were doing this, but because we felt like it was the only thing we could do to lighten the burden cancer has placed on our Mom, we opened an account for her at America First Credit Union.  So far our Mom has endured x-rays, ultrasounds, multiple cat scans, MRI’s, blood tests, multiple bone scans, bone marrow tests, tests on her heart, tests on her liver, tests on her lungs, surgery, a biopsy of her lymph node, multiple extensive cancer tests where they shoot dye into your system to detect the cancer and much much more.  As you can imagine this amounts to a pretty overwhelming stack of medical bills and she hasn’t even started treatment yet.  If you feel inclined, a donation of any amount can be made at any America First Credit Union under the Debra Ann Clark charitable account.

Thanks so much for your love and support!

  1. This is such a great idea -- the America First account and this blog itself. I love being able to come in here and find out what is going on without having to bother your family. At the same time, I really want to know. So thanks.

We will continue to remember all of you in our prayers, and count on the Help coming.

    Love you MUCH
